Hey Folks,

Member on Steve's Nova Site but wanted to meet some locals. Bought the 72 about 6 months ago and since then have upgraded the following: rebuilt TH350 with full manual, B&M ratchet shifter, rebuilt holley 850, new aluminum cylinder heads, new intake, patriot headers, all new front suspension components excluding control arms, front disc brakes with 2" drop spindles, becool radiator, dual electric fans, autometer gauges, subframe connectors, traction bars, lots of trim and new door panels. Just added a 4" cowl hood last week to help it keep cool (which is a problem)

Looking to put Foose Nitrous shoes on next weekend then drive it until it gets cold so I can then get the paint and bodywork done. Any suggestions on good bodyshops with reasonable prices are appreciated. Look forward to seeing everyone at a meet one of these days - will be at Cars and Coffee tomorrow morning with my brother's 68 fastback Eleanor recreation...say hi if you are going and see us....

First your ride is really coming along nicely and that model and the Camaro have always been my favorite muscle cars.

As to paint, call Hurst Collision Works at as he has done some great work for many of the Spacecityls members. Here is the ride he painted for me.

thanks for the warm welcome guys!!!

paint is looking good!! will definitely give them a call. That two-tone came out really beautiful!! How long did they take to complete yours? I have heard some nightmares about collision shops and am wanting to avoid not seeing my car for 6 months!!!!

Nice looking Nova!

As far as the body shop suggestions, mine would be for South Coast Paint and Body. Daniel is the guy that owns the place. Tell him Karl refered you.

Colin thakes his time to do the job correctly as I told him I want the job done well not fast. He removed the hood, trunk, doors, and started to paint. As you can see from the pics, he even painted the body jams like they did in the old days and not just what you can see when its buttoned up. If you lift the gas door, the red and silver strip run through there also. Took him several months to get it done.
