Cruise to Fredericksburg and back along the Devil's Backbone on Jan 21, 2012. With The Westside Street Meeters.
Saturday, January 21, 2012 as we cruise to Fredericksburg, TX via the Devil's Backbone, north of San Antonio. This cruise will take all day with stops along the way for bathroom and gas.
We will stop in Luling for some always awesome barbeque to get started, then on to San Marcos, Wimberley, Blanco, Fredericksburg and back on the Canyon Lake side, along the ridge of the hill country. We will finish the run in Waverley, where the run actually starts, before driving back home. We plan on stopping at adesignated location in Fredericksburg, with ample parking. From there we will spend a couple of hours enjoying Fredericksburg's shopping, German food restaurants or museums.
You can do this on your own or hang with us at our Fredericksburg designated location. After the free time in Fredericksburg, we will continue back along the Devil's Backbone Ridge to Wimberley. This will be a slow and relaxing drive along one of Texas' most scenic areas.
Houston people will meet at Love's truck stop - 612 Pederson Rd. Katy, Tx, near Brookshire, Tx (exit 737 on I-10 west) at 8:30 am and leave at 9:00 am.
Be sure to bring walkie talkies if you have them. We will use channel 5 during the drive to stay in contact with others. "
