Hey everyone! So by popular demand we have our next meet planned. So once again circle that date, get those cars prepped and come out to everyone's favorite Pizza Buffet Restaurant CiCi's Pizza!
There is going to be plenty of more parking this time!!! We also got a pumpin music and other goodies!!!

30 - 40% chance for rain that weekend.

If we get rained out I have a suggestion for a back up plan, if the weather works out well, the first Saturday of each month (March 7) is supposed to be an exotic car meet in Uptown Park near the Galleria, followed by a cruise through Memorial Park. I've seen some nice pictures, I just have yet to make it even though I live 10 minutes away!

Could provide a good back up plan if Feb 28 gets rained out.

Don't know yet what Lonestar would have going on that Saturday (March 7) though.

Will keep an eye on the forecasts though!

It looks as if the weather will cooperate this Saturday...the consensus so far is 10% chance of rain mostly, but up to 30% in some places. Looks like I can head out for the detail and not feel like a dumb ass in a couple days!

Looking forward to this event! I'll have my new camera and I am sure I will take lots of pics! Will even have a video camera, so there might be some film to post after the event!

I hope a lot can come to the drags at Lonestar to follow! This will be my first time at the strip w/ the Vette, and first at any strip with a manny tranny! It'll make for a good initial run before some more involved installs take place.

What's the going verdict, traction on or off? I dunno, never been to a strip in a car with that option!

If you don’t have slicks then traction on.
Unless you’ve done some trials of your own without traction control on and you did not loose traction I would say keep it on.
Loss of traction= no going forward.

They do 1/8 and 1/4, but Saturday I believe it's 1/4 mile test and tune.
Helmet required. Dunno about a driveshaft loop.
I got a helmet today at Wild West Honda off I-10 between 99 and Mason, got it for $60. It's just the helmet without the face visor and chin guard. Just covers your head but it works and is cheap.
