On September 2, 2009, Houston Fire Fighter Kendall Currie, a member of the HFD Street Machines, was killed in a motorcycle accident. Kendall left behind, 3 young children. We have decided to hold a Cruise-In for Kendall on Saturday, October 31, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Otto’s BBQ & Hamburgers * 11222 Fountain Lake Dr. * Stafford, Texas 77477 * 281-313-6886 is the host of this event. A benefit fund has been established at the Houston Fire Fighters Federal Credit Union. Out of respect for the situation, the HFD Street Machines decided to make this a Cruise-In rather than a car show. It doesn’t seem right to pass out awards and trophies, under the circumstances. There will be several vendors at the event displaying race cars, custom show cars and bikes of all kinds. These vendors will be offering some of their products and services as auction items to help raise money for the kids.

If you would like to attend, please read the attached information about the event. In lieu of entry fees, we are using the typical entry forms as a means for you to make a donation for Kendall’s children. The event is free to the public, meaning anyone can attend, with or without a car, truck, or bike. Participants donating at least $20.00 will receive an event t-shirt. Companies and/or individuals making a donation of $250.00 or more will be recognized on the back of the shirt, as a sponsor of the event.

If nothing else, the Cruise-In will offer a reason to get the hot rods and bikes out of the garage.

Thank you

Russell Harris
