San Jacinto Corvette Club has teamed up with Texas Corvette Motorsport Club to host a "Driver's Education" and "Play Day" at GrandSport Speedway on Friday, March 19th. Saturday and Sunday (20th and 21st) they will be hosting seven auto-crosses each day. Everyone is invited to participate, if you have never made one of these events; come, you are in for a trememdous amount of fun.
Unfortunately this event falls the same time as Corvette Expo, but we all have choices in life everyday. It has been asked before, the difference between a waxer and a racer.. if something falls off a waxer's car, he panics; however, if something falls off a racer's car, he wonders how much weight he just saved.
As usual Friday cars will be broken into group according to experience and we will not tolerate unsafe behavior or driving. Those that have attend before can attest to how well run these events are. Convertibles for Friday's events must be equipped with a roll bar (seat harness bar does not count), but not required to participate Saturday or Sunday. Do not want to or can't run all day or events? No problem, just sign up for the ones you want to run. Let me know if you have any questions.
